This collection explores the relationship between the natural and the man made world. The natural world is looked at through the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi that embraces imperfection and uniqueness and can be found in tree barks, sea shells and fungus. On the other hand the man made world, driven by consumerism and mass production, is represented through photographic works of Andreas Gursky and a study of mass produced clothing. The contrast between the two worlds has been represented using various techniques such as tie dye, embroidery, print development, pleating, and draping.
