Data Visualizations+Infographics

There's an over abundance of information out there, and the challenge is to assemble abstract ideas into nicely designed visuals that can be understood by the public eye. I've collected my own work in this section and they range from visualizations I've made for graduate work pursing a degree in Media Design practices. One of them I made just for a fun challenge (Zuckerberg below).
Fun illustration I generated looking at the internet, the rise of Mark Zuckerberg, and a time breakdown on how long various technology has reached the same number of viewers.
I created an infographic timeline outlining the history of recording devices through the 20th and 21st century. The overall document printed out to be 1.5 by 8 feet long! It was used to help with my research on technology and audio recordings devices for a larger project focused on Amoeba Records in Hollywood.
From my graduate work, I took a course in analyzing movement and motion of traffic into data visualization. These illustrations chart how foot traffic vs. car traffic moves around Amoeba Records in Hollywood, CA. The small red/yellow/black rectangles show the numbers of people holding merchandise from the record store.
From my graduate work, I took a course in analyzing movement and motion of traffic into data visualization. This table of visualizations shows all traffic again around at Amoeba Records, Hollywood, CA, and charts foot traffic compared to car traffic. I also explore a busy Farmer's Market on Saturday with the green leaves this time visualizing the number of fresh market shoppers.
From my graduate work, the illustration is an exploration of design probes, or small activities my design program created for a year-long design research project. Here I charted all the probes we made and organized them in visually digestible pieces.
