Mask Idea V.1 -
Sketches of different design routes and how it would interact with a person
The mask design aims to be a reusable, aesthetically pleasing, multi-use mask that can be worn for extended periods of time whether it be during a pandemic, in heavy pollution, during construction work, spray painting, or any other time a mask is required. The concept is relevant today and can even serve as a fashion item as well as a functional, helpful product. I'm aiming to solve many of the current setbacks of masks today and add extra protection so it can be used regardless of the scenario. By adding dual lenses, integrated tubing, supports to add comfort, and possibly even cooling methods, the design will serve as a blueprint for the ultimate respiration mask that is both useful and visually pleasing. Throughout the actual design process, experimenting with ideas of sleekness vs intricacy and whether the mask will purely cover one's face or their whole head will be key in developing the concept into a polished theoretical prototype.
Eating Utensil V.1 -
The eating utensil/chopstick design aims to add extra functionality to chopsticks allowing people to cut their food and perform the tasks that a fork and knife typically achieve as well. This extra function would be masked behind a sleek, high quality, lacquered wooden cover and outer body. The small knife and fork would be made of metal and would run down the length of the utensil to maintain structural integrity.
