Barcode Band was started in 2012 and has been broadcast in various media, including TV and Design Boom, selected as Vimeo Staff Pick and won ADAA. When the barcode graphics on the paper are scanned, they represent the inherent sounds of the graphics used to create music. This new digital instrument compresses existing heavy musical instruments onto a single piece of paper, exemplifying the essence of the digital society.
