These works were created in collaboration with the translator, writer and poet Evi Mavrommati.
In her first collection of poems Not the words which was published in April of 2018 by Roes Publication, Evi is grasping concepts that are related to both of our works. Thus, we decided to merge our interests and create illustrations that will signify the units that shape her book. Her work is autobiographical and very much inspired by traumatic experiences and hurtful relationships. Stemming from episodes of her life, almost all the poems incorporate the female form and its physical or psychological disintegration.
The illustrations attempt to penetrate into ideas that are repeated in this collection such as alienation, trauma, exploitation, collapse and confusion.
