Candle Wax Batik
This sample was created using batik on an upcycled cotton napkin and fiber reactive dye. When I created this batik I accidentally grabbed candle wax from my drawer instead of batik wax, so I lost quite a bit of detail compared to what I was expecting. I did enjoy how much “spider webbing” effect came through on certain parts of the sample though. I chose lemons as the theme because of the commercial appeal and I had originally planned to make 4-6 of these to sell them as a napkin set, but the type of wax I used made the process too time consuming.
