Due to increase in amount of digital technology, there is a tendency of a decrease in the amount of tangible social interaction. However, I want to examine this issue from the standpoint saying that the digital technology and the services it provides can in fact help invigorate this interaction.
In this project, I have designed a service for the general public that focuses on the interactions that occur during the dining experience to allow for better communication and interaction amongst people. I have stylized and designed various interfaces in context of potential digital tools that are social and community oriented. Hence, the service will provide an interactive menu, various current affairs for discussion topics, be able to play simple games, and create desired ambience with customized tabletops. Customers will use the remote-like interface to navigate and dynamically interact with this service that will bring about an increase in the social interaction and new paradigm of dining experience.
