Pocket Pill
Our challenge was to redesign an everyday product using only paper and cardboard materials.
I chose to redesign a weekly pill box case, as there are many people who take medication daily and the plastic lid popular design of it, is not suitable for everyone.
My design solution was to create an accessible box for people that require assistance or struggling with modern solutions.
I have created a box that can be opened form both sides, that doesn't have hard lids that some struggle opening.
In addition, I have thought of how people can grab the pills easily, by creating support for the fingers to slide pills to your hand. I have also incorporated the box as the package for the supply you getting at the pharmacy. In order to get the prescription all you get is the Pocketpill box, and not a paper bag, a receipt, and other papers.
