What is the »gemini project?« The idea for this project originated 23 years ago when I shared my mother‘s womb with another creature right from the start. Even before I was born, I was not alone. I was born a twin. I noticed early on that our relationship held a fascination for the people around me and over the years I realized that they put effort into understanding our invisible bond. However, hardly anyone has had the chance to explore it more deeply. In the course of my life, my twin relationship has developed into the center of my life. Since this special relationship intensified throughout my life, it was both inspiration and drive for me to open the door to the mysterious world of twins to others. The »gemini project« provides deep insights into the bond between twins and their emotional intensity.
It was a matter dear to my heart to showcase this inseparable bond in various ways and create a platform that enables diving into this world. On my journey, I was accompanied by many other twins who trusted me and allowed me a glimpse into their innermost being.
It was impossible for all of us to describe the feeling of being twins in a way that could be easily defined, but this project is meant to take a crack at this. Consisting of a website and the main book "gemini“ that I designed and produced to merge all the conversations and photographs into one piece, my project should serve as a thought-provoking impulse to experience this unique and intense connection. You can expect enlightening conversations, stimulating dialogues, captivating letters and very personal short films. Because: What is it like to always be ›two of you‹?
