APPROACHING DURRIE WEAVING TECHNIQUE IN VISUALIZING ALTERNATE PRODUCTS
The idea of the project is to use the techniques of durrie weaving to create alternate products. The project focuses on using weft-wise embellishments to create cushioning and textures.

Exploring sumak on a double cloth with cotton insertion
FINAL PRODUCT
I decided to make an on-loom cushion cover. The core structure is on double-cloth with sumak done on the face side. The sumak is woven in a parallel linear manner with distinct interval to give a feel of volume and texture both visually and by touch.
