Introduction
For this project, I was tasked with creating a type specimen book showcasing the sans-serif typeface Futura, designed by Paul Renner and released in 1927. Designed as a contribution on the New Frankfurt-project, it is based on geometric shapes, especially the circle. Often referred to as the "font that landed on the moon", Futura was used on the Apollo 11 plaque. For these reasons, I chose to recreate a planetary system within my design, focusing on revolving planets and the moon.
