Contemporary Design - Lecture Series
Our goal was to create a poster for a lecture series of four artists about contemporary design at the National Design Museum in New York City. I used Adobe InDesign for this project.

Our first step was actually to create three different black and white posters, in order for us to focus on how the information is presented, including aspects such as the typography and position of the information.

It was most important to make sure that the artist names, dates & times, and addresses were displayed prominently, as that is the information that people will want to know.

One of my initial black and white designs was very similar to my final designs below. The other two designs arranged the information in a 2x2 square grid, as well as a grid with 4 rows (1 with each lecture's information).

I finally settled on the design below and chose two fonts, making the typography of the most important information stand out.
After receiving the initial feedback on the final project above, I updated the project with more modern typography and a different color palette. I think that the most important information is more visible in the project version below.
