Luna is a moon covered in intricately hand-cut metal moths that reflect and shine in the sunlight, and pulse with light at night. Moths, so small, so delicate, are drawn to the light of the moon to navigate. The moon tugs on our ocean waves, creating a pulse on earth.

Luna is made of base metals, referencing our ancient moon, earth, and comets. The moon radiates with light reflecting live tidal data; pulsing, breathing, shifting from moment to moment, celebrating our symbiotic relationships with each other and our universe.

We often feel small, and when faced with planetary challenges. We feel insignificant and powerless. Yet, we all share this planet, and all pulse with life. Through illuminating the earth’s pulse, Luna brings people together in conversation, meditation and thought.

Luna is made of copper, bronze and brass. It uses an Arduino to access live tidal data and respond accordingly.
