ORIGIN
Designed in collaboration with Kelly Lucero Hughes, these mats were decidedly colorful. Inspired by Scottish tartans, we sought to create a colorway that harmonized with the natural phragmites. Pictured is a striped version and a tartan version. The darker toned mat was woven with the bright cotton thread, then over-dyed with black dye to create the subtle color.
