THE MELO PROJECT RUNWAY 501(c)(3) ON THE RUNWAY

Empowering the Youth -what better way than this?
What better way to empower our youth than to have them learn to become a part of their own promotional music video for their own upcoming events. Parents and those following them on all social media platforms support them on their journey to becoming a real fashion designer.
Music Videos and Trailers like these we use to promote our fashion show fundraisers.
This young designer wanted to work with denim after years of working with knits
Not only do my young designers create their own patterns and sew, they must do one art -fashion design. This young designer painted white fabric, draw the design of the angels and sewed on all the ribbons.
Art & Fashion: This young designer created her own border design and self painted it onto jersey with sharpies.
Being a Former Sweater & Knitwear NY Fashion Designer/Director I go directly to teaching them to work with knit stretch fabrics.
This Young designer started at age 6 at the Melo Project Runway, she is now 10.
This young designer wanted to improve on his artist abilities so he draw and painted his own appliqué on a T-Shirt.
These fashion shows empower our designers and bring the community together who have been following them throughout the year on Fb, Instagram, and Twitter
Our young designers select the concept boards they wish to design "one piece" they create their own patterns and wear in on the runway at the end of the year.
This skirt was painted by one of our youth born with disabilities, sewn by his sister (one of our young designers) and modeled by one of our youth Kempo performers.
This young designer not only created her own pattern, sewed it, but tied-dyed the fabric in an ombre and hand sewed on all the flowers.
This fabric was painted by Grant (pictured borns with autism) his sister sewed it and helped him walk the runway, while he wore his own self painted T-Shirt.
Only 5 years old this young designer created 3 pieces in one year. She created the pattern and learned to sew.
Our five year old fashion designers wearing her own dress and hand sewed the flowers to her own design.
