Vector Watch Replication

Vector Watch Replication
The objective of this project was to create a photo-realistic watch that could be used in an an alternative for product photography in an advertisement or online store. I wanted to choose something different to a circular standard wristwatch, so I went with a digital Casio watch.
I used sketching to find the subtle details I would need to include in my watch. I realized that my tones and shadows would be extremely important in creating an accurate image.
When I jumped into Illustrator, I focused on developing the structure of the watch before adding gradients and depth. I received some feedback from my instructor on how I could make my lines a little more consistent.

Once the body of the watch was complete, I focused on the display. My main focus on this part of the project was accurately replicating the depth of the screen.
After finishing the screen, I added depth and accounted for lighting in the design. This process took the most time. There was a lot of fine-tuning and many adjustments that went into the final product.
