Unit opener spread. Meant to engage students by highlighting geographical and cultural interest points of the region.

First spread of a unit based feature called Global Connections.

This feature discusses a major event in the region and how it relates to the rest of the world. This spread is used to discuss the topic and and engage the students interest.

Second spread of Global Connection feature.

This spread is used to relay facts about the topic being discussed, have maps or imagery that shows the global affect, as well as a preview of what students can find online.
