Quilts
Quilts created using commercially purchased craft fabrics. The red and black quilt was created for an infant with a visual impairment and was designed to give a sensory experience. I included high contrast colours and a variety of textures.
I created this patch design for a community quilting project. The design is based on a local landmark 'The Infinity Bridge' in Stockton-on-Tees. And is to become part of a large quilt made from patches designed by local people during the 2020/2021 lockdown. I used a piece of recycled denim and used a combination of free hand machine and hand embroidery to create the image.
