I've always been fascinated with the color detail of people's eyes, but have never been good at drawing in color. Last year (2012) I felt brave and tried drawing with just a regular 'filling out my checkbook' blue pen and was surprised how well it turned out.

 

Next I tried drawing Tom Hiddleston, the actor that plays Loki in the movie 'Thor'. Although there's a few mess ups, I still was rather proud of how it turned out. Not bad for only the 2nd time drawing in ink pen. This collection of drawings show the progression of my ability to capture detail. Some are in pencil, but I'm noticing that more and more I really prefer drawing in pen, so most will end up in that.
