Deforestation Poster Campaign

Global Challenges poster brief
A series of posters designed to raise awareness on the alarming rates of deforestation in the Amazon, and the threat this has on the wildlife's extinction.

The designs include abstract ink silhouette marks, combining the organic and the mechanical, reflecting the human power of destruction.
The handprints are of the most endangered animals in the Amazon as well as the human hand highlighting our own actions through the illustrative marks (chainsaws, logging, fire, destruction).
Handprints will be the only record of these animals after their extinction, the posters act as signs to stop. The animals don't have a voice in this and so I thought it would be powerful to use the globally renowned language of sign, which the stark imagery captures well.
