Quadropus; My First Resin Toy

It was an amzingly horrible day for a photoshoot but I loved it. My Quads where all wrapped up in their hand felted scarves, it was poring down, what could be better?
The idea for my Quadropi came to me one day as I was sketching. Last year was my final year of uni, and while I liked each project I worked on, I fell in love with toy making. So I designed the Quadropus, bought some Super Sculpey and made the first little sucker. I then went about the expensive task of making a mold of him and casting many of these four legged cuties out of resin.
The mold isn't perfect, it is my first go at this. The Quads aren't perfect either. They haven't been made by a 3D printer so they're wonky in places and have my finger prints all over them. Instead of seeing all these bumps and wrinkles as imperfection, I think it's what gives my Quads some life.

When I finally settle on how exactly these guys will be painted, I'll be opening an Etsy store to sell them. Then they can make a life of their own.

My amazing photographer is my sister-in-law Siobhan Hunt. She's been so amazing, even risking her camera in the rain and walking through mud to capture these awesome images of my humble little dudes.
