The overprinting technique is simplistic and visually interesting. This is why I chose to center my poster around Massimo Vignelli. An influential designer who has worked on very diverse projects, always focusing on a clean but appealing design.

To create this poster I first looked more into who Vignelli was as a designer. So that I could find the perfect quote and write a fitting informative paragraph. Then I launched InDesign and started creating possible layouts keeping in mind Vignellis clean design style. Once I decided on the layout and colors for the poster I brought the image of him into photoshop to create a monotone image. I then brought it back into InDesign and pasted it into the shape I had created for it. To finish I cleaning up any slight miss alignments and focused on crafting my text. I often look back on this poster to remind myself that good clean design is far better than a design that tries to fill to much white space.
