Repurposing Artwork

Production Artist can be a misunderstood task. I receive orignal design files from an agency designer, then I pull them apart to create all types of collateral that maintain the look and feel, but within the constraints of each piece.

Each year I create a 100-page theatre Playbill that echos the design of the agency brochure, but it has to be black and white, fit on small pages, and accommodate text.
This often means digging into multi-layered Photoshop files to figure out what can reproduce in black and white, and identifying and altering other graphics so different pieces retain the mood of the originals while serving other purposes.

It's similar to branding, in that I create new work that adheres to "brand standards", but I do it every year with very complex files.
