A Study on Renoir's Painting Style

A Study on Renoir's Painting Style
First, I get a subject to work with. For this painting, I decided to use the photo I shot of my female classmate from Photography class. I made a sketch for coloring and shape(s) reference.
I looked at Renoir's paintings to have an idea on how he does his paintings. This specific painting caught my attention so I decided to based off my color palette from this painting. I also noticed how the brush strokes were made. It was made up of different short streaks. It is not as detailed as any other paintings existing around but it still captures the beauty of the subject. While checking other paintings, I also noticed that most of the people in his paintings have pale skin so I considered doing the same thing for my painting. It is no surprise since he was once a person who works on porcelain.
The final output. I achieved the look that I want by combining the color palette from one of Renoir's paintings plus the porcelain skin tone. Notice that the only thing detailed and focused is the face. The rest of the image is made up of different strokes.
