Project Pocket Park - Planting Design

POCKET GARDEN DESIGN
(Project design is part of Queensland University of Technology Landscape Architecture Honours Course under the unit Horticultural Studies) [2018]
This project is an earlier design completed during my first exploration of horticultural suitability in site planting schemes. This Pocket Garden design portrays a rich plant pallet capturing an array of colours, foliage textures and layering of groundcovers, shrubs and trees resulting in an immersive sensory experience.
Conceptual stages explored the possibilities for appropriate uses, interventions and plant species for the Pocket Park scene.
Initial research and data collection lead to a brainstorm of different ideas, with the iterative process finishing on the chosen diagram which best suits the design rationale, location and community users.
