I don't always do book commissions, but when I do I get way to excited, haha! This children's book by Monica Rubombora follows the story of Old Man Patrisi. Initially the client wanted black and white within a budget, but after talking a bit we managed to up the quality and expand the budget abit to cater for this new and improved art style! I thoroughly enjoyed working on this, keen to get my hands on more commissions like this one too, hell jea!

My process starts with storyboarding - these are the initial sketches I do just to jot in the details and see if the client likes the progress. Afterwards I will detail with some inking and basic colours/tones. If the client likes what it looks like here, then I shall go full power and detail the work within the budget that I made with the client.
