Forge Buffalo connects aspiring talent with inspiring companies in the Buffalo, NY region. Through the Forge Buffalo community, job seekers will be alerted to new jobs in the startup ecosystem, and be connected to like-minded entrepreneurial leaders in the region. Startup communities will have the opportunity to seek candidates and recruit talent.
My inspiration comes from Buffalo's historical nickname "The City of Light" when it was one of the first electrified cities during the early 20th century. It hearkens back to a time of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. Now Buffalo is experiencing a rebirth and it's once again a city on the rise, and I wanted to capture that spark of energy.
Earlier ideas
My previous idea speaks to Buffalo's history in the steel industry and the blue collar community. This was a fun idea to pursue because it allowed me to experiment with textures to capture the rough industrial look and feel.
