Goal of every Buddhist monk is to achieve enlightenment, also called “Nirvana”. This state is referred to as The Awakening where an individual becomes part of the universe. He/ she is free from the shackles of the materialistic world and eventually from suffering of attachment. Thus my work here captures the moment of the individual just woken up from the state of Awakening which is represented by opening of the eye and the other half of the face represents how he/she has become part of the nature by accomplishing the highest stage of spirituality in Buddhism.
