Walnut and aluminum

I was inspired to create an object using materials with strongly different properties and treating them differently, in terms of their texture, finish, construction, shape.
The round aluminum legs were bent quickly and easily on a machine, while the wood was cut and painstakingly carved by hand in a more traditional woodworking style. The walnut has a matte finish with a bumpy interior texture while the aluminum has a high gloss finish and a smooth exterior.
