Wood and Rubber Mechanism

Working wood and rubber mechanism and accompanying form. Both models are intended to be held, gripped, and moved in the same way. The working model (wood and rubber) shows how the mechanism would work, the form model (foam) shows how the object would look and feel. The object in use creates a subtle squeezing motion potentially for a handheld alert system. Entirely hand made out of balsa wood, rubber bands, and foam. Finished with gesso and spackle. Wood model assembled with tacky glue. Project for the course Product Studio I: Form & Context.
