Project Overview:
Rainbow House is a nonprofit organization which provides housing to homeless single mothers. Single mothers have a hard time finding affordable childcare regardless of their social or economic backgrounds. We have created a way for college students to give back to society with their time. Through this program college students are asked to sign up for babysitting positions once a month to allow the single mothers time to go about their day knowing that their children are well taken care of. There is a poster that leads you to an app which has a plan for students to sign up and go through a required background check. Through this program the kids and the college students each get a Rainbow House t-shirt and are encouraged to create a friendship.
