Ecce Animalia
Ecce Animalia was an exhibition curated by Dorota Łagodzka and Leszek Golec at the Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko. It aimed to reflect on the treatment of animals in visual arts, based on both contemporary and historical examples.
The motif of a lamb was used in the visual identity due to its symbolical load in Christianity and in general. Associated with an offering, a renewal and new beginning, it may also read in relation to posthumanism and its revisionary stance when it comes to humans’ approach to other species.
