This is a contemporary dress inspired by traditional jingle dresses. I wanted to address cultural appropriation and how Native American iconography is being used in fashion today. Instead of using tobacco lids for jingles I used beer bottle caps making it more colorful and flashy. I wanted the dress to reveal the wearers skin on the back making it seductive. Directly relating to how many percieve other cultures other than there own.
