Designed to promote mental health counseling services, the Northlight Counseling website was part of a complete rebranding project which included a new, more contemporary logo. Warm, inviting images and colors were used to comfort and provide hope to those who often feel trapped in their situation. While it is not labeled as a “blog” but functions similar, is a strategically designed “resource” area was developed with several topics addressing the needs of those suffering from one of the major health issues Northlight serves. Each area includes helpful articles, authored and posted by Northlight. This adds real value to the visitor, builds trust, promotes brand expertise, encourages incoming links, and increases SEO. Visitors can also subscribe to receive new postings by email or RSS feeds—a system that is fully automated. To facilitate postings, the site was built on the WordPress platform, which also allows Northlight to make page content changes at anytime.
