As chairs directly relate to the human body, they are built scale figures for architectural spaces. For this project, student pairs collaborated to design a chair that could be constructed solely out of cardboard and glue, and functionally supported human weight.
These models quarter scale and half scale models show early iterations of the chair design.
Before constructing our own chair, we took field notes of chairs around the studio, making drawings perfectly to scale with our chosen models.
