'Navigating' was the graduation project for my Bachelor of Arts. It's a video about my search for a kind of wayfinding through life. Miniature sets made out of grey cardboard were the starting point for a visual poem that evolved in an intuitive way.
It's a combination of video and stop motion animation. The sets were made out of carboard, paper and polyurethaan foam. The sound was made with an instrument from the Indonesian gamelen called a gendèr.
The video was nominated for the TENT academy awards 2012 and part of the exhibition Spelen op de grens van het ongmogelijke in Rijksmuseum Twenthe from 13-10 2012 till 24-2 2013. The video was also shown in the exhibition Cabinets of Reminiscence in Dynamo Expo in Enschede.
