Step 01: excavate 50% of the volume in a way that puts the centroid of the resulting volume at a 7” distance from one corner.

Step 02: add the removed 50% volume back while maintaining the centroid in its location.
The method of excavation I used is to remove a 1/4” & 1” THK “slates” then divide them incrementally as needed to 1”,2”, 4”, 8” & 16”. These slates are all added back in step 02.
