Book Covers
A book cover project under the firm IMGSOC (mentioned in George Orwell’s book 1984). These covers use only typography to express the concept of each book.
1984 by George Orwell
It uses a geometric typography and the empty spaces of the numbers to illustrate surveillance and control.
The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien
It uses an old serif font to show a classic style. The title in italic illustrate the ring and also shows an eye that is about to open.
The great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald
It uses a Didot typography to express elegance. Also repetition of the same title in different sizes and in gray to show the concept of confusion.
Moby Dick by Hernan Melville
A modified serif typography to simulate something that emerge from the sea.
