An infographic I designed to compare the genome sizes of different species. The aim is to show how all species are connected genetically - the same genetic code and molecular structure is found in all living organism from viruses to reptiles to mammals. Secondly the graphic aims to show how genome size isn't necessarily connected to the physical size or complexity of the organism. I've grouped the different kingdoms by (funky Andy Warhol inspired) colours.
In this alternative design, I used the shape of a DNA helix as the basis for the design. This infographic uses a different colour scheme to group by size rather than species. May not be very scientific but it looks cool :)
