1/2" color model for Tennessee William's "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" - Fall 2012

This is my 1/2" color model for "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" by Tennessee Williams. I used UC Davis' Main Stage Theatre for my set. I read the play, hand drafted the set, made a white model and then made this color model. I stayed true to the Williams' detailed instructions and descriptions of the set but  I also put in my own unique style. For examle, the large red console on the left was my design. I used multiple referenses and fused them together to create the console. I also thought of the scrim back wall that would show the columns and the night sky backdrop (also my unique design) when certain lighting conditions were applied. This was a project for a class and was not a design for a show that was built and produced.
