Franco Dragone Entertainment Group called upon the Luc Petit CREATIONteam once again for a collaboration in Abu Dhabi.
"Story of a Fort, Legacy of a Nation" is a visual and musical poem directed by Franco Dragone, which pays an emotive tribute to the 250 years of history of the Emirates and the Bedouin culture. Acrobatics, several events, music and stunning special effects were presented between 28 February and 9 March 2013 in an exceptional production at the emblematic Al Jahili Fort in Abu Dhabi, within the framework of the Qasr al Hosn festival.
Franco Dragone gave the Luc Petit team the responsibility of managing the casting for this extraordinary production. After several weeks of intensive searches, a cast was put together comprised of dancers and acrobats as well as groups offering existing acts, which the director from La Louvière incorporated according to the production’s requirements.
While Luc Petit, Anne Roelandt and their teams managed the artistic elements, Pierre-Philippe Baeken took care of the production side of the casting part. He was responsible for negotiations and administrative and financial aspects, under the leadership of English production director, Nick Levitt. Ray Wrinkler – partner of the famous scenographer Mark Fisher – was in charge of scenography while the lighting was designed by Patrick Woodroffe, who has worked as director of photography for artists such as AC/DC, Lady Gaga, Depeche Mode and the Rolling Stones.
