Dear Mr. Crampton.
I am writing this as a follow up to our initial contact through the job board. I enjoyed speaking with you about the position of Information Technology intern with Easterseals Michigan. Thank you for sharing your insights about the recruiting information and opportunities at Easterseals Michigan.
As we had discussed I will be graduating the end of winter term 2019, December 15, 2019. I will be graduating with a degree in Computer Science. While doing research about Easterseals Michigan, I have become interesting in learning about how the organization had originated, and the current state of growth. I believe my past qualifications from working in the pharmacy would prove vital here, I have already worked in a healthcare related field, and I am able to be methodical and precises with my work as per the requirements of a pharmacy technician. My background in Compute Science and desire to learn more about computers has helped prepare me for the challenges of the position.

Personal Statement
Competition is what drives me, not in the direction of having to be number one at the competitions, but in a way to better myself. If someone is able to complete a task faster and better than me, I want to know why and what I am able to learn be able to do it similar to them if not better. I take competitions as a challenge to myself and to those around me to better ourselves. It gives you a chance to understand and to gather what your weak points are and your strong points. It gives you a direction at times when you might not know where to go next.
An example for this is having a twin, my twin and I have grown up together always doing similar activities and hobbies whether it be because it’s convenient for the both of us, or be it purely a similar interest. This has allowed me to continue to challenge myself against my twin to see where I can better myself and where I find areas that I need to work on. One way that we’ve done this academically is for programming. We will both create a program and then see who’s looks better runs smooth, and fewest bugs. This allows us to both learn from our mistakes and learn from the other’s mistakes.
My personal agenda is to always find a way to improve at something whether it be a soft skill, like holding a conversation better, or be it learning a new way to create a program. I want to continuously find better ways to implement daily tasks to both simplify routine or to save time for my future self.
