Remix Yourself is a research project, but also a web series, an overview of the contemporary digital world. Internet is the world where everything is new and nothing is fully new. About 90% of web products are a remix of already existing products. Remixing is what makes every product similar and yet unique. Everyone can be the leader of his own product, tap into open sources and create something new. The project analyses what the remix is through research, but also anecdotes, interviews, data and infographics. The project is also an experiment. If remix is the future, what happens if 7 videomakers remix the same raw video clips? 1 web series made of 7 episodes, 7 ambiences, 7 individual products.

Remix Yourself è un progetto di ricerca, ma anche una webserie, una panoramica del mondo digitale contemporaneo. Nell’etere tutto è originale e nulla lo è. Il 90% delle produzioni web sono un remix di materiali già esistenti. Remixare è quello che rende ogni prodotto simile eppure unico. E tutti possono essere protagonisti, attingere a fonti open source e creare un prodotto nuovo. Il progetto di ricerca descrive cos’è il remix online attraverso studio, analisi, ma anche aneddoti, interviste, note storiche e infografiche. Il progetto, però, è anche esperimento. Se il remix è il futuro, cosa succede se 7 videomakers diversi remixano gli stessi materiali video? 1 webserie composta da 7 storie diverse, 7 atmosfere, 7 remixaggi personalizzati.
