dystopic future on paper sheets
This was a project made the first year of University.
It was asked to find some books that would share the same literary genre and then recreate their cover.
There was a main point on this project:
ALL THE COVER SHOULD HAVE THE SAME KIND OF ILLUSTRATION AND STRUCTURE
I have to mention that this is a remake of what i did back in the days.
The first cover illustrations that i did were all lowpoly style, but as the time passed and my knowledge grew, they became outdated so i decided to remake them form the ground up.
As the title suggest the genre that i decided to pick was:
DYSTOPIC FUTURE
There are a lot of books with this genre but i decided to pick three of them that i remember read.
Of this books there was as well a film adaptation that i wathced to have some inspirations.
The books that i worked on were:
- Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick -
- Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury -
- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams -
As for the illustration style i wanted to give them some futuristic look, so cables, technology, robots, effect that i recrrate dividing the illustration il several pieces and each piece recreated with lines.
I menaged to give them as well a sort of 3D look comining different layers with different colours.
