Sound and Color
An exploration of the sights and sounds of the sixties and seventies.
For this exhibit, I wanted to create a space that would invite the viewer to experience the art. I decided to build a mock up bedroom that allowed the observer to be apart of the art. My design was inspired by the patterns, colors, and music of the sixties and seventies. I have always loved this era. Every time I put on a song by the Jackson Five, I cannot help but smile.

The key component of this design was the vinyl record stereo. The songs playing on the vinyl were specifically chosen as inspiration for each of the pieces in the show. For instance, the ceramic vase was inspired by the song My Girl by the Temptations. while the viewer was looking at the pieces in the show, she could listen to the very songs that inspired the design.
