Design Rythm Typography

THE BRIEF
In this music-inspired typographic project, use music as your muse. Interpret and clearly translate the music aesthetics to your visual design.
Based on the two assigned pieces of music, you are required to design two typographic
posters showcasing your chosen fontset. It should include good information on the font, the typographer or the history of the chosen fontset.

Track 1
Identifying personality and characteristics of the track, also what emotions the track is trying to evoke in us:
late night relaxation; very “soft” and cozy, flowery and warm feeling, reminds me of a pure love, sweet, sitting in front a fireplace

possible colour schemes:
purple, blue, pink, yellow
Track 1 poster
Final thought process:

I decided to use this concept as it was the most dynamic piece and showcased how the song is; which is 1 main instrument, but backed up by many unique solo’s that come in once in a while. The text are also spaced out while still following the grids and having hierarchy in the poster.
I decided on this pink-blue colour scheme as I wanted my colour piece to look very “soft” which means to be gentle, pleasant and never harsh. These colours remind me a little of babies and makes the whole poster feel more gentle. I could also tell very clearly that “Helvetica Neue” is the headline, “Late Night Relaxation” is the sub-head and then comes the body text.

Track 2
Identifying personality and characteristics of the track, also what emotions the track is trying to evoke in us:
bold, frantic build up, dramatic, loud in presence, chaotic, invokes a sense of anxiety before calming you near the end, reminds me of the bg music of a fight with the chinese military then after the 3 minute mark it resolves and everything settles down; chinese dynasty war

possible colour schemes:
black, red, orange
Track 2 poster
Final thought process:

I decided to use this concept as it was the most dynamic piece and showcased how the song is and how the song made me feel. The headline is a mix of many different elements to emphasise chaos and also how these many elements are still able to look orchestrated.
I decided on this colour scheme as I wanted my colour piece to have more colour rather than just black, white and another colour. These colours stand out which is how the different letters are “fighting” to stand out but still fits together. I could also tell very clearly that “Helvetica Neue” is the headline, “Chinese Dynasty War” is the sub-head and then comes the body text.
