Sticky Situation, Asheville 826

826 National is a nonprofit organization which has writing and tutoring centers throughout the country for students ages 6-18. The first 826, located in San Fransisco, opened its doors in 2002 in a building that was zoned for retail. Because of this zoning, they had no choice but to sell at least something. Anything. Literally anything at all. So what did 826 decide to sell in the front while tutoring went on in the back? Pirate supplies. Now, Each 826 store has a unique store front selling bizarre products. I was tasked with branding an 826 center for Asheville, North Carolina. A town full of quirky people and quirky problems, Sticky Situation is an adhesive storefront to 826 Asheville that provides unique solutions to "seal over" the real problems of the town while promoting involvement for young people in local affairs.
