When creating this music video for electronic music duo Golden Shower, Lobo wanted to remain as faithful as possible to the spirit of the song, which was composed entirely of sound effects taken from Atari 2600 video games. Therefore, the imagery we created referenced lots of early ’80s classics like River Raid, Enduro, Pitfall etc., in all its blocky glory. In the eve of the 21st century, “Video Computer System” tugged at so many twentysomethings’ heartstrings that it received a trophy for Best Electronic Music Video at MTV Brazil’s 2000 Video Music Awards.
