Package design for Whole Foods

Whole Foods Market

is a famous American grocery store known for its organic produces and food that is free of artificial flavors, color and harmful chemicals.

I usually visit to Whole Foods Market at the Domain in Austin, TX and am drawn to the packaging designs that are minimalistic yet honest. I think Food and Beverage packaging design can offer a glimpse into the identity of a culture as it indicates the local people's diet and ideal preferences.
What question is the Whole Foods design trying to answer?:

"Where do we get our meat & produce?"
A simplistic answer would be natural landscapes such as the Mountains, Fields or Ocean.

You can find these themes in the packaging designs at Whole Foods.
The hand-drawn illustrations and rustic vibe in each design tells a story of where the food comes from. As a graphic designer with knowledge in packaging, I get a sense that the packaging is seamlessly designed with considerations on cost as they can easily be edited to fit any form. Furthermore, the designs were created with a minimalistic color play as to reduce printing costs.

Now I'd prefer to add my own culture to the Whole Foods design. Since I miss Korean food so much, I decided to design a package and brand identity for Korean Sweet Spicy Chicken, which is my favorite Korean dish.
