This images was made, primarily, by layering the photos below. I've included a screen capture of the layers sequence in Photoshop:
The first image is a rotated, blurred photo of a clock; the second is from the CERN particle collider; the third is Ptolemy's 2nd century diagram of our universe; last is the layer sequence. I added and deleted some 40 layers.
Photograph of a friend, Nathan Storm, tying a turban. I was amazed that he could do this :)
Another work -this has my daughter standing in front of a doll house. Originally, I had figures and objects in the windows and doorways. I added a photo of a cemetery sculpture -I believe he is Francis of Assisi, and many layers of various texture. When I can draw again, I intend to replace the carousel horse with a drawing.

If you find symbols interesting, the ones on the far left: from top to bottom:
1) the Greek symbol for air
2) the phases of the moon
3) Ankh -symbol of life
4) NASA logo -its round shape symbolizes a planet, aeronautics and space travel are symbolized by the chevron.
The white circle and dissecting line are from a chart of the path of Venus as it crosses the Sun.
Three if by Air. The painting in the bottom of the box is by Grant Wood. I think he would be amused by this :)
